The following rental policies have been developed to ensure the comfort, pleasure, and security of all persons visiting the properties. Please refer to your rental agreement for important information that relates to your booking.
Age, Size & Conduct of Party – Only registered guests are permitted overnight use of the home and property. This is a ZERO TOLERANCE acceptance policy and failure to comply may result in immediate eviction with forfeiture of all monies paid. Please review the maximum number of guests permitted at each of our properties. Our homes cater to families and mature adult groups only. The Renter and guests must be 21 years of age or older, except for family members that are under the direct supervision of the Renter. Registered guests are fully responsible for the actions and conduct of their visitors. To protect the quiet times, visitors are required to be off the property before 11 PM nightly.
Noise, Partying & Offensive Behaviour – This is not a party house. Excessive noise or partying are not allowed in your vacation home or on the property. This includes any offensive or undesirable behaviour that would effect the enjoyment of others next door. This is a ZERO TOLERANCE acceptance policy and failure to comply may result in eviction with forfeiture of all monies paid.
Cleaning/Damage/Liability – You will be charged a refundable damage/cleaning deposit. It is the responsibility of the guest to keep the home and property clean. Please leave the property in the same condition upon departure as you found it at check-in.
The Guests shall pay for any damage done to the premises over and above normal wear and tear and are responsible for ensuring that these policies are respected and adhered to.
No charges will occur provided the following provisions are met:
- No damage is done to the home or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
- All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in refuse containers.
- All soiled dishes are washed and put away, including dishes done in the dishwasher.
- The home should be left neat and tidy, and all items returned to their original location.
- All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
- No linens are lost or damaged. No towels are missing or damaged.
- The home is kept in satisfactory clean and sanitary condition during the rental period by the guests.
- The guests do not use the home or allow the home to be used for any illegal or unlawful purposes.
- No early check-in or late check outs unless previously arranged with Christina Lake Vacation Homes.In the event the foregoing provisions are not met, costs to rectify are applied from the damage/cleaning deposit.
Neither the homeowner nor Christina Lake Vacation Homes shall be held liable for any losses, claims, damages, costs or expenses arising out of any theft, accident, injury, death, damage, delay, inconvenience or distress, whether or not arising by the negligence of the property owner or Christina Lake Vacation Homes, and the Guests hereby waive any and all such liability.
Pets – Some of our homes are pet-friendly and their owners welcome four-legged guests. They will ask you to follow their pet guidelines and pick up regularly, not allow pets onto furniture or into carpeted bedrooms, and ensure all dog hair is vacuumed before your departure. Taking a pet to a cottage that is not designated as pet-friendly could result in possible eviction without refund. We would also like to point out that a ‘no pet’ rule does not mean there has not been a pet in the property (possibly the owners).
Smoking - All of our properties are non-smoking. Any sign of smoking any substance inside the home, you will lose your full refundable deposit.
Booking Deposit - The Booking Deposit is due at the time of reservation and is 30% of the total amount before taxes. If the total amount before tax is less than $450.00, the booking deposit will automatically be $200.00. You can pay the booking deposit by e-Transfer or cheque.
Final Payment - The final payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival date. Final payments can be paid via e-Transfer, cheque or cash.
Cancellation Policy - There is a 30-day cancellation policy. If you cancel 30 days or more before your scheduled stay, your payment minus a $200.00 plus tax cancellation fee will be refunded to you. If you cancel with less than 30 days notice, half your accommodation cost will be forfeited.
Covid 19 Special Circumstances Cancellation Policy - If a cancellation is due to covid 19 government or public health orders, you will be refunded the full amount paid.
BBQS - Please shut off all valves and dials, and ensure that all food residue is scraped and/or burned off after cooking. The BBQ should be left ready for the next guest to use when you depart.
Garbage & Recycling - Garbage and recycling must be disposed of in the provided bins. Instructions vary for each property, and will be included with your rental contract. At no time is garbage to be left outside. The crows will be into it almost immediately during daylight hours, and bears or raccoons could get into it if left overnight.
